ComEd receives National Recognition for Impact on Economic Development

For the eighth time, ComEd has been recognized as a top utility in economic development by Site Selection magazine.   DCEDC is proud to partner with ComEd on the economic development transformation that has and continues to take place in DeKalb County, IL.  ComEd is recognized as an Industry-leading reliable energy provider.  ComEd plans to electrify 30 percent of its vehicle fleet by 2025 and 50 percent by 2030.  ComEd is a leader in Workforce training programs, which resulted in nearly 1700 trainees completing various programs offered.  25% of the trainees’ secured jobs.  Renewable energy solutions-Through the Future Energy Jobs Act enacted in 2016, ComEd commercial and industrial customers can apply for DG rebates, designed to reduce upfront installation costs and spur renewable development.
