Dr. Borowicz Highlights Strengths and Benefits of Kishwaukee College
In her Daily Chronicle column this past weekend, Dr. Laurie Borowicz, President of Kishwaukee College, highlighted some of the strengths and benefits Kishwaukee College provides for our area communities. She noted that approximately 84 percent of the students attending KC are district residents, with notable programs such as Diesel Power Technology, Truck Driver Training, and Horticulture bringing in numerous students from outside the district. Additionally, KC graduates have been hired by 155 local businesses over the past three years and plans are underway to increase connections with local businesses to better address their unique needs. Going forward, KC plans to build upon their strategic workforce plans to improve their customized training for area companies, continuing education services, and additional work-based educational and training opportunities.
KC welcomes feedback from area stakeholders and has added a feedback link to their website. Dr. Borowicz encourages local community members to share their input on how KC can better serve its students and community.
