EDGE Tax Credit Extension Signed into Law

From the Illinois Department of Commerce:

Governor Rauner signed Senate Bill 513, the EDGE Tax Credit Extension, into law. This extension is only a temporary measure and all agreements must be signed by close of business Friday, April 28th. All other elements of the EDGE program remain unchanged.

As of today, the Illinois Department of Commerce is accepting EDGE applications for qualifying projects through, Friday, March 31st. Similar to last year’s EDGE crunch, applications received after this date will be processed but we cannot guarantee that all applications will be completed due to holiday schedules, etc. We are dedicated to providing the best possible service throughout this process and completing as many applications as necessary.

When submitting an application, please provide the following:

EDGE Business Application
ITR-1 Tax Clearance form
Site Differential Cost Analysis
EDGE Application Supplement – Legal Disclosures

Please contact DCEDC with any questions.
