Facebook, Inc. d/b/a Goldframe, LLC receives prestigious CiCi Award

Community Impact.  A company’s decision to locate a new facility or expand an existing one can have a profound effect on a community, and it can go well beyond a simple business decision.   The project demonstrates how site selection can make a difference in the community where the company has chosen to locate.

Here in the City of DeKalb, IL social media giant Facebook, Inc. d/b/a/ Goldframe, LLC is one such notable project.  They plan to invest well over $800,000 million dollars into the county during their buildout of one of the most sophisticated and state of the art data centers in their portfolio.

DCEDC is proud to have played a key role in the attraction of Facebook, working closely with the City of DeKalb,  CEO Jerry Krusinski, Krusinski Construction Company, the Kishwaukee Water Reclamation District, the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity, the designating and participating units of government of DeKalb County, IL, energy supplier ComEd, and many others to secure this tremendous WIN for DeKalb.  Facebook has been a strong community partner since they announced their project on June 30, 2020. They recently donated $10,000.00 to the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce COVID-19 Small Business Relief Fund.
