Heartland Bank donates more than $2,000 to area schools
Heartland Bank and Trust Company, through their philanthropic and creative ways, gives back! Recently, the bank donated more than $2,000 to area schools through the Score with Heartland Bank program. The donated funds were raised by giving $1 for each free throw made at a high school varsity home boys and girls basketball game during the regular and postseason.
Theresa Jennings, retail support manager, said in a news release that they want to financially support local schools and create additional excitement. Donations this season were presented to local schools including Plano, Newark, Somonauk and Sandwich high schools.
Heartland Bank and Trust Company is an independently owned community bank with assets of $3 billion. The bank has the headquarter in Bloomington and offices in communities throughout Illinois.
