DCEDC is pleased to share the attached Press Release from ComEd regarding their smart grid work and Illinois’ #2 national ranking for Electrical Grid Modernization on the 2015 Grid Modernization Index.

“In 2015 ComEd achieved record reliability for a third year in a row, much of it due to smart grid work begun in 2012. This modernization work, along with ComEd’s focus on customer engagement, helped position Illinois as the second in the nation in the 2015 Grid Modernization Index (GMI).”

ComEd is approximately 75% complete with its infrastructure program work, enhancing reliability with new equipment and distribution automation devices.
