Andrea Moore

Research Support

Andrea Moore is a former Graduate Research Assistant for DCEDC who now assists on a part-time voluntary basis with research and other projects and events as needed.

Andrea is currently a PhD student and instructor with the Department of Geographic and Atmospheric Sciences at NIU, continuing her research and outreach activities in sustainable economic and environmental development and regional planning. Andrea earned her Master of Science degree in Geography and Certificate in Geographic Information Analysis from Northern Illinois University in May 2017.She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Sociology from Western Illinois University in 2008. Andrea has six years of experience as a licensed educator in middle and high school social studies and special education.

Recent professional development includes completion of the 2016 Illinois Basic Economic Development Course, a 32 credit hour nationally-recognized training program for professionals new to the economic development field.
