DCEDC is happy to report that our partners in Shabbona, IL have broken ground for the first section of the Shabbona Pathway.  The Pathway committee started as a village committee in 2013 and later became a nonprofit organization.  Prior to obtaining their nonprofit status, DCEDC facilitated tax-deductible donations to be passed through for the project. The idea of a pathway connection to the village, schools state park, golf course, and subdivisions began in the early 1980s.

DCEDC is proud to support this program.  Congratulations to the Village of Shabbona.
