State of Illinois awards $22.5 Million in Grants awarded to tourism industry

 

Governor JB Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO) joined local leaders, legislators and leaders in the tourism industry to award $22.5 million in grant funding for 89 projects across Illinois through the Tourism Attractions and Festivals Grant program.

Welcoming more than 97 million people who contributed more than $32 billion to Illinois’ economy in 2021, Illinois is a world-renowned destination with a thriving tourism and hospitality scene. The grant program – along with Illinois’ award-winning ‘Middle of Everything’ campaign are part of the state’s commitment to bolstering the tourism industry across Illinois.
