The First National Challenge

DCEDC is a strong proponent of collaboration and so is our longtime supporter, First National Bank of Omaha. Tonight, is the annual First National Bank Challenge for DeKalb School District 428 and Sycamore Community School District 427 High School Basketball Teams.

Taken from the FNBO website: Together, we can make our communities thrive. The challenge event was created to increase attendance at athletic events, raise funds, and enhance awareness of the local Sports Booster Club organizations. Local businesses, organizations, and individuals are “Challenged” to help raise funds that will help support school athletic programs with net proceeds being distributed to the school’s booster clubs. Combined, the First National Challenge programs have raised over $2 million dollars for their school’s athletic programs. By accepting this year’s Challenge, you will be helping provide a future for our children’s athletic programs. What’s good for the kids is great for the community!

Bravo to all who support and participate in this annual event. DeKalb County communities are fortunate for this significant investment, for the betterment of everyone.

DCEDC would like to thank our very own, Executive Board Member Gary Evans, for spearheading this highly successful event for many years. Best of luck to all players! There is still time to purchase tickets. Please see the Challenge Flyer below for information.
