Thank you for taking advantage of the Illinois Building Materials Exemption Certificates (BMEC’s) available through the DeKalb County Enterprise Zone Program.
DCEDC is required by the Illinois Department of Revenue to close all BMEC projects with the actual total project information as requested below. This information is required by the Illinois Enterprise Zone Act, a statutory mandate of the Illinois Legislature. Please provide the information requested below. In addition to sending us this information, also please remind your project contractor’s/certificate holders to report all annual qualified material purchases to the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR) for each year their BMEC was active.
To Report to IDOR: http://tax.illinois.gov
- Once on the IDOR page, go to the far right menu bar and click “Tax Resources”
- On the Drop down menu, select “Businesses”
